I would like to welcome you to the Dixieland cafe bar/restaurant music venue
Our aim on here is to guide you round the magical village we are based in. As we do this, we will show you what the Dixieland can offer you.
When you arrive at the Dixieland you will find a warm friendly atmosphere and discover our beautiful restaurant with only the finest freshly house made food a beautiful beer garden at the rear with the chateau of Verteuil as your view.
We have an English styled bar area, a games room with a pool table and a big screen for our regular live sporting events
We hold a monthly quiz night and live concerts each week

We are equipped to cater for large parties, birthdays, weddings, etc.
There is ample parking in Verteuil with car parks at each end of the village, we are opposite the Salle des Fetes, where there is also a large car park ,most of the time it is also possible to park in the street
We are about 6 km from the market town of Ruffec(see our map page)
Welcome to Verteuil,
a village of natural historical importance, with a 12th century chateau. It was partly rebuilt after the French Revolution in the 19th century.
Verteuil has a 12th century church with a “mise au tombeau” (a sculpture of Christ on his death bed, there are only two of these in France ).
There are two Bed and Breakfast establishments, one being the magnificent 'Couvent des Cordeliers' which is a 12th century monastery. The other being Les Bruyeres a beautifully restored house.
Verteuil also has a fresh bakery, butchery, a tabac, male and female hairdressers, a small art gallery as well a several restaurants and bars.
This does not take away from the natural beauty that the Charente river offers down the Champ de Foire. There are camp sites available as well as campervan parking with electric.

Notre but ici est de vous guider dans notre village qui est magique. Tout en faisant cela,nous allons vous montrer ce que le Dixieland peut vous offrir.
Quand vous arriverez au Dixieland vous trouverez une atmosphere chaleureuse et amicale et vous decouvrirez notre magnifique restaurant avec notre cuisine fraiche et tout est fait maison, un tres beau jardin a l'arriere avec une vue sur le chateau de verteuil.
Nous avons la partie bar qui est d'inspiration anglaise, une salle de jeu avec une table de billard et un ecran geant pour les evenements sportifs .
Nous avons une soiree quiz une fois par mois et concert toute les semaines.

Il y a la place de se garer a Verteuil avec deux parkings un a chaque entree du village, nous sommes situe en face de la salle des fetes ou se trouve aussi un grand parking, la plupart du temps il est aussi possible de se garer dans la rue.
Nous sommes a environ 6 km du centre ville de Ruffec (voir la page map).

Verteuil a aussi une boulangerie, boucherie, un tabac, salon de coiffure un pour homme, un pour femme, un galerie d'art, et plusieurs bars et restaurants.
Ceci n'enleve rien a la beaute du village traverse par la riviere "Charente" jusqu'au champ de foire. Il y a un parking pour caravanne avec service d'eau et d'electricite.
